About DaTuanJie We are a group of friends with different backgrounds, each originated from places seem to be similar, and yet unique from each other (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), came together in Auckland, New Zealand in the early 90s. During the years in NZ, we discovered the underground trance scene in Auckland and together we experienced and enjoyed many different aspects of the music: The parties, culture, attitude and the production. Since then, we have learnt to appreciate many of our experiences with the music. Though we have chosen to walk different paths toward the same destination; the rhythm, the sounds, the grooves, the atmospheres and the spirit have always been there to connect and motivate us in our own personal journeys. In the summer of 2004, after some serious thinking and discussions, we decided to setup a website voluntarily, to establish an exsitence in the cyberspace for us and others to express and share the visions we have for the music, despite our differences. To open a door for both English readers and those who feel more comfortable reading in Chinese (simplified/traditional) that love the music, to connect them with the rest of the world through trance. |
